Truck Accident Case

We took more than 60 depositions in five different states. Because of Stephenson’s tireless advocacy, shortly before the trial was to commence, the defendants settled the case for $48.5 million.

Attorneys using technology to help win personal injury cases may not be a completely new concept, but it is a concept that not all law firms have the capability to deploy. The team at Stephenson Rife LLP believes strongly in the power of technology to help our clients. We believe in using all potential tools to drive home the facts in the case and to win the settlement you deserve.

How We Use Technology to Make Your Case

There are a number of ways to bring technological advancements to bear in a personal injury case as part of our preparation process. Our team has had success using a number of techniques, including the following.

  • Presentations: We use animation and video recreations in presentations to show to a judge or jury during the trial. This helps us explain the injuries our client suffered because of the negligence of another party.
  • Re-enactments: Through video and animation, we can re-enact an accident scene, giving juries and judges extra information. If actual video of the accident exists, we can use this in lieu of a re-enactment.
  • Explaining concepts: For judges and juries who may not have much background knowledge on how certain types of accidents happen, our videos and animations can provide this information. When they better understand how an accident happened, they will feel more in tune with our victim’s pain and suffering.
  • Telling your story: In a personal injury trial, it’s important to show how our client’s quality of life suffered after the accident. Sometimes, the best way for us to do this is to use video that shows your life before and after the accident.

Examples of Our Use of Video to Help Our Clients

Even though making use of technology can be time-consuming and expensive, we believe it’s important to the success of our cases. We are willing to invest in our clients’ stories. We consider all kinds of options to help us win for our clients, including the following animation and video examples.
